Things to do

Prescott welcomes you to explore the parks, lakes, and more than 450 miles of trails for your outdoor enjoyment.  With four seasons of sports, hiking, kayaking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, wildlife observation not to mention camping, fishing, horseback riding and hunting, we have everything that the outdoors person would expect in a driveable Region.

If your interests go beyond the great outdoors, Prescott offers entertainment in many forms. Whether your interests run to fine arts, plays, concerts, theater, film or a casual evening on the town, Prescott and the Prescott Region has much to offer.  The largest entertainment venue in Greater Prescott Region is the Prescott Valley Events Center. This 5,000 seat center opened in 2006 in neighboring Prescott Valley and hosts a vast array of concerts, sporting events, and community events each year.

History, food and drink, and entertainment are the calling cards of the Historic Whiskey Row.  This has long been known for the many historic saloons that line the street and still do to this day.

The City of Prescott organizes a Summer Concert Series on the Courthouse Plaza.  The events are free and run from June through early September.  The musical acts include jazz, classic rock, country, symphony and blues. Major events such as Whiskey Off-Road, Acker Night, and Annual Courthouse Christmas lighting have become traditions for many Northern Arizona families.
