Things to do

With mild four seasons and what many describe as a perfect climate, Prescott Valley offers year round recreation and entertainment for its residents and visitors alike. Mountain Valley Park, a sports and recreation complex in the middle of town, includes Mountain Valley Splash, -- the community swimming pool – a dog park, a skate park and several softball, baseball and soccer fields. Fain Park has walking trails, picnic shelters, and a dock where residents can be found fishing on a daily basis. Mingus Recreation Area is located on State highway 89A, just a short drive from the heart of Prescott Valley. This area provides beautiful views of the communities on both sides of the mountain. There are two campgrounds available-the Mingus and Potato Patch areas; hiking trials; and a small fishing lake. The Prescott National Forest is right next door and borders the south side of the City of Prescott.

Three public golf courses are located within the town that offer golfing choices for all levels of abililty. Quailwood Greens Golf Course, StoneRidge, and the Prescott Golf and Country Club are within a few minutes by car from each other. The 5,000-seat Prescott Valley Events Center opened in 2006 and hosts dozens of concerts and community events annually. Performers such as Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Chicago, James Taylor and many others have performed there.
